South!
It was time to go South. That was the point of the trip, after all.
Ania and I hitched a few rides with truckers from Esteli to Leon.
One driver could talk for hours without being talked to. He was funny, opinionated and religious, but I only remember one thing he said:
“I was fifteen years old when I put on my first pair of shoes.”
