Here in my car
The next day, the five of us prevailed once more. A car carrier gave us a lift.
It was perfect.
We rode in a brand new Renault and our backpacks were stuffed into an old Nissan.
We had to duck down through police check points, but the ride was comfortable and we got dropped off just outside Cartagena - a large, steamy Caribbean city that served as an important port during the colonial era.
